BACKGROUND
Founded in 2014 PopSockets is a leader in the design and sales of grips, mounts, and wallets for smart-phones and personal digital devices. In 2018 PopSockets LLC was listed as #2 on the Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing companies in America.
THE CHALLENGE
Lack of insights into PopSocket’s online and mobile consumers, hindering the ability to improve the user experience.
Absence of a cohesive content strategy across PopSocket’s digital channels, leading to inconsistent messaging and engagement.
Outdated content and visual designs that fail to capture the brand’s dynamic and innovative spirit.
THE GOAL
Develop a high-level content strategy focusing on customer personas, tone, and voice.
Create a high-level customer journey map to better understand the PopSocket user experience
Design the UX/UI to create a more engaging shopping experience on mobile devices
MY ROLE
Partnered with the PopSockets team to define a global brand vision focused on social and environmental impact, developing strategic frameworks that embedded the brand’s identity across customer touchpoints.
DELIVERABLE
Content Strategy
I created a high-level content strategy to help PopSockets tell the right story to their target audience. The deliverable included a brand statement and guidelines, tone and voice, content strategies, and a high-level SEO audit for improved search results and page placement on search engines. This equipped the client with the confidence to produce compelling, consistent content in the future.
MY CONTRIBUTION
Worked closely with client to identify key personas and their goals interacting with the website
Crafted a new global vision for the brand aiming to foster social and environmental change while integrating their brand identity into every customer interaction
Collaborated with UX designers to outline tailored user journeys based on research to optimize customer lifetime value
Created personalized content and recommendations to the key personas at various purchasing journeys
Assisted UI designers in building playful, educational elements on its new website to showcase potential product combinations and inspire DIY products.
